The
summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, is 19,340'.
You start in a rain forest and summit on an ice cap. It is awesome.
You need to be in good condition but you do not need any technical
skills. It is, in reality, a 30 mile, high-altitude hike.
Bud, your adventure safari leader, is an experienced high altitude
trekker and a member
of the Navy's UDT/SEAL Association.
After you hike Kilimanjaro you visit the Serengeti National Park,
the
most famous game preserve in the world, for a wonderful photographic
safari. Its complex eco system supports over three million large
mammals. The Ngorongoro Crater is next and is considered to be the
8th natural wonder of the world. In addition, we will visit the
Lake Manyara National Park and try to catch a glimpse of the tree
climbing lions.
